Sale of Former Rea Valley Tractors Site in Newport, Shropshire

21 May 2025

Andrew Dixon & Company reports the sale of a substantial commercial site on Audley Avenue Industrial Estate in Newport to Beyond Strorage Group, which will serve as a new branch location for the company's self-storage business. The property is a self-contained site, which was formerly occupied by Rea Valley Tractors, who have recently closed their Newport depot as part of continued efforts to strengthen and optimise their operations across Shropshire and Staffordshire.

The site was sold with vacant possession, presenting the opportunity for a purchaser to acquire a versatile industrial facility with retail/trade counter on a self-contained site of circa 0.78 acres (0.32 hectares). The accommodation is arranged in two adjoining industrial buildings extending in total to approximately 9,949 square feet (924 square metres), complete with a large open storage/service and sales yard to the front of the site.

Nathan Fern, who handled the negotiations, commented "This site offered an opportunity to acquire a freehold industrial premises with significant retail/trade counter potential in a popular location amongst many other national occupiers such as Howdens, Screwfix, Aldi and McDonalds. The property generated a good deal of interest and a sale was agreed in the early stages of marketing."
